Credit cards and debit cards
Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards are the most widely accepted bank cards in Portugal. Card payments will be accepted in most places but this is not guaranteed or mandatory. American Express is accepted by some large hotels and shops, but has limited use overall. Check with your bank to understand if there will be any fees on payments or cash withdrawals.

Smoking
Smoking (including vaping and the use of e-cigarettes) is illegal in enclosed public spaces, including the Congress Center. There are also restrictions on smoking near the entrances and exits of public buildings.
Taxis and public transport
Taxis and public transport options can be found around the Congress Center. If you are arriving by car, CCL is accessible via Portugal’s main national road accesses, the A5, A2 and the Ponte 25 de Abril (The April 25th Bridge). The Congress Center has an underground parking garage and an uncovered car park with 1,100 spaces with autonomous management (paid). Taxi apps like Bolt and Uber are available, in addition to traditional licensed taxi services (cream-colored, or black/green cars).
Public transport options from the city center include: Tram 15E (from Cais do Sodré station, towards Algés); Bus 732 (from Marquês de Pombal or Avenida da Liberdade); Bus 728 (Praça do Comércio).

If you choose to take a taxi, make sure the meter is turned on at the beginning of the journey and always ask for a receipt.
Travelling between Lisbon Airport and the Congress Center
Humberto Delgado Airport is located 12 km from the Lisbon Congress Center (20 minute drive). Transport options from the airport include:
- Taxi - You can find taxis queueing outside the departures and arrivals terminals. Depending on traffic, the journey to the Congress Center should cost 15,00 € - 20,00 € including luggage fees. If you choose to take a taxi, make sure the meter is turned on at the beginning of the journey and always ask for a receipt.
- Online reservation platforms (Bolt and Uber) - there is a dedicated area for picking up passengers with orders on online reservation platforms. This area is located on P2, Level 2, on the arrivals level. The price for the journey to the Congress Center ranges between 10,00 € and 15,00 €.
- Bus - At the airport, you can take the bus 722 (towards Restauradores ) until Avenida João XXI/Praça de Londres. There change to the bus 756 (towards Rua Junqueira - Centro Congressos), which is the last stop. Then, walk 2 minutes to the Congress Center. This journey takes approximately 50 minutes - the cost per bus ticket is 2,30 € (one way).
- Metro + Tram/Bus - Take the red line from Aeroporto station to Alameda station, then change to the green line and get off at Cais do Sodré station (last stop). Take the tram 15E (towards Algés) or the bus 728 (towards Restelo) and get off at Rua Junqueira - Centro Congressos. Then, walk 2 minutes to the Congress Center. This journey takes approximately 50 minutes - the cost per bus ticket is 2,30 € (one way), and the cost per tram ticket is 3,30 € (one way).
For returning to the airport, official guidance recommends arriving at least 3 hours before your flight, as Lisbon Airport may experience longer-than-usual waiting times.

Water
Water refill stations will be located throughout the Congress Center. The tap water in Lisbon is safe to drink.
Tipping
Tipping at bars and restaurants is not mandatory or expected in Portugal, but small tips are appreciated.
